Can l iust use a computer to monitor AlSWEl inverters without internet connection?
We do not provide local monitoring. AISWEI's monitoring solution consists of either a GPRS stick/WiFi stick/AiCom/AiManager which uploads the inverter data to our AiSWEI Cloud online monitoring portal which requires a reliable internet connection. We can provide our communications protocol to our customers to develop their own monitoring system. Third party monitoring devices and software such as Solarlog can be used with our AISWEI inverters.
Can l install AiCom/AiManager outside?
Yes, but it must be installed in an IP65 rated enclosure.
Can l obtain Weather Data from AiSWEl Cloud ?
AiSWEI Cloud does not obtain or record weather data such as irradiation, temperature or wind speed. If you require to monitor weather data, it is possible to either purchase an independent weather station or you can use an existing third party solution from suppliers such as solar-log/ meteocontrol/ solarman which can communicate with our inverters.
Can AlSWEl Inverter's communicate with SMA's product?
No, AISWEI and SMA use different communication protocols therefore AISWEI inverter's cannot communicate with SMA's products (including SMA's string inverter, Sunny island, Data logger, fuel save controller etc.).
Does AlSWEl's Inverter support third party dataloggers?
Yes, AISWEI inverters support third party dataloggers such as Solarlog, meteocontrol and solarman. In addition, for large PV plants, we can offer our protocol to a third party company to develop their own customized monitoring solution.
How to select AlSWEl's datalogger
Residential application
Stick: AISWEI has two types of communication stick of GPRS and WiFi stick. GPRS stick is only used default in China market. Overseas market should customize the GPRS stick to fit local requirement. The stick is installed on bottom of inverter house by plug-in connection. One stick can be connected with one inverter.
AiCom: Installed outside of AISWEI inverter. AiCom connects inverter via RS485 and router via WiFi or LAN. One AiCom can be connected to a maximum of five inverters.
Commercial application
AiManager: Installed outside of AISWEI inverter. AiManager connects inverter via RS485 and router via LAN. One AiCom can be connected to a maximum of 60 inverters.
